The film combines the familiarity of dance from the initial film, plus adds singing and acting, as the story takes our leads, Mackie, Mia and Avery, plus all of their friends (and enemies) into their performing arts school for more fun, drama and the biggest competition of their young lives.
Returning as the leads are Laura Krystine (100 Things To Do Before High School, Instructions Not Included) and Brisa Lalich (Teens Wanna Know), who play fraternal twins. They're joined by Jayden Bartels (Coop and Cami Ask The World, Singer/Dancer), plus Jake Brennan (Schooled, Richie Rich), Jaheem Toombs (100 Things To Do Before High School, Singer) and Trevor Larcom (ABC's Fresh Off The Boat, Teachers, Fuller House).
