LOS ANGELES - Californer -- The recently launched Thrifty Senior Traveler website has announced the launch of its new Travel Deals blog, featuring currently available travel bargains and special offers of particular interest to travelers age 60 and older.
The blog will regularly report on exceptional deals discovered by Jesse Slome, the Thrifty Senior Traveler, including discounted tour packages, limited-time offers, and opportunities that can help older travelers stretch their travel dollars further.
"There are some incredible travel deals continually being announced, and many of the best ones sell out quickly," explains Slome. "Our goal is to make seniors aware of some of the best offerings we've discovered so they have an opportunity to take advantage of the savings."
The first Travel Deals blog highlights three international tour packages offering significant price reductions.
One featured offer is a 16-day land tour of Northern India, including visits to Delhi and other notable destinations. The original price for the tour ranged from $3,895 to $4,295 per person. The special offer reduces the cost to as little as $1,495 per person.

Two of the travel deals currently featured may be especially appealing to solo travelers seeking to avoid the often-costly single supplement — the additional fee commonly charged when only one person occupies accommodations designed for two.
One offer features a 17-day trip to Java and Bali, with departure dates available between late September and early November. The original package price ranged from $3,895 to $4,495. Under the special offer, travelers can book the trip for prices ranging from $995 to $1,995, with no additional single supplement charged by the tour operator.
The third featured deal is an in-depth 15-day tour of Ireland. Originally priced between $3,795 and $4,695, the Travel Deals blog reports that the tour is now available for between $1,795 and $2,495.
"These are the kinds of deals that can make a real difference," Slome adds. "Saving a few hundred dollars is nice. But when you find an opportunity to save $2,000, $3,000 or even more on a trip you really want to take, that's worth knowing about."
