Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) is sponsoring a hands-on drip irrigation workshop Saturday, May 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
OAK PARK, Calif. - Californer -- Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) is sponsoring a hands-on drip irrigation workshop Saturday, May 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mae Boyar Park (130 Kanan Road in Oak Park). The class is free and open to the public. Attendance is limited to 30.
Taught by certified Ventura County Master Gardener Kathleen Doran, participants will learn the benefits of drip irrigation, review the required components, and assemble a drip system that they can recreate in their own landscape.
The workshop kicks off a series of Water Smart community sessions. The TWSD Water-Smart Speaker Series begins on July 15. Topics include lawn alternatives, fire-smart and water-wise landscaping, growing California natives and drought-tolerant gardening. The speaker series will be held at the TWSD district offices (370 N. Westlake Blvd., Suite 100, Westlake Village).
