LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Tyrone DuBose recognized as America's premier R&B historian, is set to bring his expertise to SiriusXM with a new content series titled "Behind the Groove / R&B Uncovered Series." The series will spotlight iconic R&B groups, solo acts, and trivia from the vibrant 1970s and 80s, celebrating the rich history of the genre.
Akim Bryant, Director of Music Programming for SiriusXM's "The Groove," expressed his enthusiasm: "2024 has been an exciting year for R&B at SiriusXM/Pandora. I recently took over programming duties for The Groove, so 2025 will represent somewhat of a rebirth for the channel. R&B historian Tyrone DuBose is a major part of that rebirth. Tyrone's commitment to the genre rivals that of my own. I am proud to know him, to work with him, and I look forward to building great things together well into the future."
2024 proved to be a landmark year for DuBose, marked by his induction into the California Music Hall of Fame, joining his mentor Casey Kasem, and the ranks of legendary artists. He also won his fourth Hollywood African Prestigious Award, stemming from his acclaimed television series based on his bestselling book, *The Four Seasons of R&B*. His management team at Dream Entertainment in Beverly Hills stated, "Congratulations to our client Tyrone DuBose for his latest endeavor on one of America's favorite music platforms, SiriusXM. We are beyond thrilled to see this legend's talent soar to another level. The world will soon have an opportunity to hear and recognize this legend and his amazing talent."
