SAN LEANDRO, Calif. - Californer -- Beats 4 Hope, a Bay Area-based nonprofit organization, is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Jackets & Jams Coat Drive on September 20 from 1pm to 5pm at Drake's Barrel House (1933 Davis St #177, San Leandro, CA 94577). This family-friendly event is a unique mix of a coat drive and a community celebration. It aims to collect 1000 clean, gently used, or new coats for those in need.

As winter approaches, the need for warm clothing has become more pressing than ever, with 1 in 4 people living at or near the poverty line. The collected coats will be distributed to local non-profits, including Boys and Girls Club of San Leandro, East Oakland Collective, Abode, Love Thy Women Foundation, Hearts For Humanity, and Larkin Street Youth Services, to ensure that vulnerable populations stay warm during the cold winter months.
