Our Warriors Deserve to Wake Up in Their Own Bed on Christmas!

SAN DIEGO - Californer -- In a proud annual tradition that embodies the spirit of the season, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station and our partners—iHeart Radio, CBS 8, Armstrong & Getty, and SeaWorld San Diego—are raising funds to fly our ill and injured Warriors "Home for the Holidays"! For those injured while serving our country—and facing the challenges of recovery, rehabilitation, and transition to civilian life—there is no greater gift than returning home to their families for the holidays.

In addition to flights home, Warrior Foundation assists injured Warriors year-round with a variety of programs, including adaptive sports, outdoor therapy, Dress for Success, vocational projects, scholarships, career guidance, and more. Most notably, we provide transitional housing at our three Freedom Stations, which offer injured Warriors the time, guidance, and resources to successfully transition from military service to civilian life.

About Warrior Foundation Freedom Station:
Warrior Foundation Freedom Station's mission is to be the leading force in assisting, honoring, and supporting the military men and women who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country. We provide our Warriors with quality-of-life items, support services, and transitional housing designed to assist them and their families during recovery.

More on The Californer
Warrior Foundation assists four main groups of warriors:
  1. The seriously ill and injured soon to be medically retired.
  2. Those suffering from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI).
  3. Those undergoing physical or occupational therapy.
  4. Warriors who have been medically retired and remain in our community.
To serve this last group, we pioneered a new approach and opened Freedom Station—a unique transitional housing residence that provides ill and injured Warriors the time, guidance, and resources to successfully make the transition from military service to civilian life. Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization operated by a dedicated staff and volunteer corps.
