The company reports that the cost gap between recycled and virgin PET resin has closed significantly over the past three years due to expanded recycling infrastructure and increased demand from large CPG companies.

The timing aligns with California's SB 54 legislation, which mandates minimum post-consumer recycled content in all rigid plastic packaging sold in the state. The law requires 30% PCR by 2030, 40% by 2032, and 50% by 2035. Brands starting with 50% PCR bottles now will meet every compliance threshold through 2035.
