ATLANTA - Californer -- Atlanta, GA – Gateway Center Arena announced Duane Curry as the new General Manager. With more than 25 years of experience in service, hospitality, leadership, and partnership development, Duane Curry has been recognized for his commitment to operational excellence and community impact. Duane has built a career centered on creating exceptional guest experiences while fostering meaningful relationships throughout the sports and entertainment industry.
As General Manager of Gateway Center Arena, Duane Curry will lead a team dedicated to elevating the arena brand and community presence by creating innovative guest experiences, expanding strategic partnerships, and increasing event opportunities that support long-term growth and revenue.
Duane Curry is a proud native of College Park, Georgia, attended Banneker High School, and continued his education at the University of West Georgia and Clayton State University. He is committed to continuing his growth as a transformational leader by strengthening operational excellence, team development, and strategic planning while mentoring high-performing teams rooted in accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and servant leadership at Gateway Center Arena.

"We are excited about Duane's appointment as Arena General Manager, said Yanous Barnes, Executive Director of Gateway Campus. Duane has exemplified what it means to be a team player and a leader. He was an Operations Crew Member at the first GICC location, then an opening team member at GICC's current location. After serving dutifully at the GICC as Operations Crew Leader, he was promoted to Conversion Manager at the Gateway Center Arena. Duane has built relationships with our internal and external
customers, which is why he was a great fit to lead the Gateway Arena. We look forward to this next chapter in Duane's career with the Gateway Center Campus."
