SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Darryl O. Solberg of Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP (HechtSolberg) has been named the 2020 San Diego Real Estate "Lawyer of the Year," by Best Lawyers in America©.
Solberg joined HechtSolberg in 1973 – just one year after the firm's founding. He has spent his entire career with the firm, serving as managing partner for 16 years. He concentrates on both general business and real estate transactions, including business planning and entity structuring and formation, operation and termination of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. His practice also includes real property purchases and sales contracts, representation of closely held businesses and publicly traded companies involved in all aspects of real estate and numerous non-profit organizations.
Solberg is an advocate of community service and has provided pro bono legal assistance to numerous non-profits, including obtaining tax-exempt qualifications for more than 80 non-profit corporations. He had also served on numerous not-for-profit boards, including the Board of Regents for St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.

According to Best Lawyers, the selection of Solberg as "Lawyer of the Year" in Real Estate Law in San Diego, "was based on extremely high feedback" received from legal peers. "Only a single lawyer in each practice area and community is honored with a 'Lawyer of the Year' award."
The international attorney-ranking company designated three lawyers from HechtSolberg among the Best Lawyers in America© in San Diego for 2020 in a total of four practice areas. Solberg was also designated a "Best Lawyer" in San Diego for Corporate Law and Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships), designations he has held annually since 2014. David W. Bagley II was a designated a "Best Lawyer" in San Diego Real Estate Law, an honor he has held annually since 2006 and Paul E. Robinson was designated a "Best Lawyer" in Real Estate Law, a designation he has held annually since 2007, and Land Use and Zoning. Robinson has been recognized as the Land Use and Zoning "Lawyer of the Year" in 2014, 2016 and 2019 by Best Lawyers.
