A portion of proceeds from cosmetics' sales will support programs for vulnerable women and girls.
OAKLAND, Calif. - Californer -- Hip Hop icon, CEO, and speaker, Dr. Suga T Stevens has had a busy year celebrating 25 albums and now closing the year out launching a new cosmetics line, the "Hip Hop Diamond Beauty Collection." She's also created a new wellness program, "The Work It Factor – 50 is the new 30," which is designed to help women be beautiful, successful, relevant, happy and healthy at any age, and she is the producer of a new broadcast program, "Work It With Dr. Suga-T."
"Women of all ages need products that give them the confidence to show off both their outer and inner beauty," she says, speaking of the new cosmetics. "I've designed products that I think will give them that confidence. The Hip Hop Diamond Beauty Collection is beautiful, elegant, all natural and cruelty free; no animal products are used."
The cosmetics line includes the newest and finest in lipstick colors, eye shadows, liners and mascara. The products are currently available online and planned for sale at major retailers. A portion of all proceeds from sales will be used to support programs for underprivileged girls and vulnerable women and towards initiatives that promote positive images of women and girls. The cosmetics complement another of Steven's new ventures, an online wellness and empowerment program "The Work It Factor – 50 is the new 30." The five-part series is designed to encourage older women to celebrate aging and give all women and girls the tools to live their best life. It includes exercise workouts; a soundtrack of original music; a book; healthy cooking demonstrations and coaching on topics important to the mental, physical and economic wellbeing of women and girls, while sharing the secret to staying relevant and happy. Stevens, a young and proud 52-year-old, continues to tour performing her multi-genre live band "Suga-T Experience," along with Hip Hop's latest and newest hits. The project is unique in that it includes, a performance, a panel discussion and access to her beauty, fragrance and other merchandise. She also recently released her 25th album, "Heiress I Am."
