Born and raised in the gritty streets of the South Bronx, John Duffy's life has been anything but ordinary. The son of a widowed Irish immigrant mother, Duffy overcame poverty, dropped out of high school, and navigated through political activism in his youth before reinventing himself as an actor, counselor, and ultimately a Hollywood film producer and Professor at UCLA.. His career spans fifty feature films, and his unique personal story is as compelling as the movies he produces.
