Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach Airport (LGB) has once again been recognized as one of the top airports in America, ranking second on The Washington Post's list of the 50 Best Airports. This comes as no surprise to travelers who are familiar with LGB's easygoing atmosphere and Southern California vibes.

According to Mayor Rex Richardson, LGB is the preferred gateway to Southern California and offers a first-class experience for travelers. This recognition from The Washington Post only solidifies the important role that LGB will play in welcoming visitors for major events such as the World Cup and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Washington Post praised LGB for its simplicity and efficiency, noting that it is "simple to navigate and quick to get in and out of." They also highlighted the airport's popular outdoor concourse, which one reader described as their "airport oasis."
