Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach Airport to Offer New Dining Options for Passengers

Long Beach, CA - Long Beach Airport (LGB) is set to welcome a new wave of dining options for its passengers. The airport has recently approved an agreement with concession partner Paradies Lagardère to introduce pre-security concessions and enhance post-security offerings. This move aims to provide more variety, convenience, and flavor to the passenger culinary experience.

According to Mayor Rex Richardson, the award-winning Long Beach Airport continues to prove why it is the preferred gateway to Southern California. He also added that these revitalized concessions, along with other recent modernizations and live music offerings, ensure that visitors get a real taste of Long Beach.

The 14-year contract with Paradies Lagardère will allow them to operate new pre-security concessions in the Meeters and Greeters Plaza and in the Historic Terminal. It also extends their contract to continue operating post-security dining and retail concessions until November 30, 2039.

As part of the agreement, over $1.8 million will be invested in capital improvements for the pre-security concessions. These will include convenient, fast-casual, and grab-and-go options for passengers. Additionally, Paradies Lagardère plans to invest about $3.6 million in enhancing post-security food, beverage, and retail offerings. This includes reimagined seating areas, expanded patio dining, upgraded retail storefronts, and refreshed concepts that reflect Long Beach Airport's signature "America's Coolest Airport" brand.

With these new pre-security concessions and upgraded spaces, the airport is making travel even more welcoming, comfortable, and convenient for everyone who passes through.

These investments will complement LGB's existing concessions, which include a mix of locally owned restaurants, retail stores, and service providers. The airport also offers live music and entertainment programming to ensure that guests have opportunities to enjoy food, drinks, and performances both before and after security.

Airport Director Cynthia Guidry believes that there is a demand from travelers and visitors for food and beverage options in the Plaza and Historic Terminal. She stated that these new offerings, coupled with live entertainment, will make Long Beach Airport not only a gateway to Southern California but also a destination in itself.
