Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is gearing up for its second annual Neighborhood Halloween Carnival Monster Mash Bash, set to take place on Friday, Oct. 31 at Silverado Park. This free event, organized by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine in collaboration with the Office of Climate Action & Sustainability, aims to bring neighbors together and strengthen communities through local engagement.
Last year's carnival saw an impressive turnout of over 1,500 attendees and this year is expected to be just as successful. Mayor Rex Richardson expressed his excitement for the event, stating that it is a testament to the success of the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program in building resilience within neighborhoods and encouraging deeper connections.
The carnival will feature a variety of Halloween-themed and family-friendly activities such as carnival games with Halloween candy prizes, alien pinball, zombie eyeball toss and knock down, tic-tac-toe and slam dunk games. Attendees will also have the chance to trick-or-treat, participate in a costume contest, decorate cookies and create Halloween masks, balloon animals and slime.
