Last week at Colorado Lagoon, we opened the tenth new playground built in Long Beach over the past four years through Measure A Funding. This is a historic investment in our city's parks infrastructure, and it's been great to see kids and families enjoying these great new playgrounds.

We know how important it is for our community to have access to high-quality parks and open spaces so that kids can have places to play in every neighborhood. That's why we're continuing to invest in improving and expanding parks across the city.

Building 10 playgrounds in just 4 years is an incredible start to these efforts through Measure A, and we're excited to continue this work towards a greener, more accessible future for our open spaces.

- Jackson Park in April 2018,
- Los Cerritos Park in August 2018,
- Veterans Park in November 2018
- Whaley Park in November 2018,
- Drake Park in January 2019,
- Martin Luther King Jr. Park in August 2019,
- Jenni Rivera Park in December 2019,
- Golden Grove in El Dorado Park in April 2021, and
- Cherry Park in July 2021
We know how important it is for our community to have access to high-quality parks and open spaces so that kids can have places to play in every neighborhood. That's why we're continuing to invest in improving and expanding parks across the city.
