Smith led an interactive session where he shared his career story and how he learned to look beyond achievement to find fulfillment. His focus on rewarding work brought him to STS Capital Partners, where he helps guide business owners through the process of selling their business and helps them to find significance for their next chapter. Smith also answered audience questions on how to create impact, the importance of authenticity, and what to look for in a charitable organization.

Smith spent a large part of his career running a marketing firm that supported top brands in the high-end and luxury product space. However, it was the life-changing experience he had when his firm took on a non-profit account in the foster care service industry that inspired him to start a think tank and other companies that support causes.

Smith is an entrepreneur and technologist with over 20 years of experience driving marketing and business innovation strategies for B2B and B2C companies. After successfully working with STS as an Advisor since 2020, Michael accepted the position of Managing Director in late 2022.
