NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Californer -- One For Victory (https://www.oneforvictory.com/) - the California brand creating fine leather furniture inspired by timeless European designs and classic American styles of the past - is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Elite Leather brand, including all intellectual property and designs. Founded in 1959 by Michael Galardo Sr. and renowned for its long history of pairing innovative technology with old-world craftsmanship and unbeatable quality—with every piece bench-made by hand in the USA—Elite Leather was a family-run business for 58 years before an acquisition in 2017 by one of the largest U.S.-based manufacturing companies focused on the hospitality industry. Now, part of the house of One For Victory, which is owned and operated by Galardo's granddaughter Gabrielle Galardo and her husband John Grootegoed, the brand's decades-long journey has come full circle.

"We are delighted to bring Elite Leather back into the family" says Gabrielle. "I have always been passionate about the Elite Leather brand and the quality and craftsmanship it represented. Launching One For Victory was a logical next step for me to bring my own take on home furnishings to the industry: a well-edited selection of classically modern pieces that consider comfort, quality and livability first. Now, with the acquisition of Elite Leather, we open ourselves up to exploring even more exciting opportunities—including the possibility of domestic manufacturing."
With decades of combined industry experience and a shared vision to add warmth and comfort to the modern home, One For Victory founders focus on a singular goal: to craft unique and well-built sofas and chairs that offer durability, simplicity and effortless style. Thoughtfully selecting nostalgic pieces reminiscent of their West Coast roots, where the welcoming spirit of generosity and hospitality has been passed down through generations, they place the highest value of importance on materials and construction. Curated pieces are upholstered in genuine, top-grain leathers all consistently authentic in quality and character, with the kind of luxurious soft comfort and easy care its customers crave—and rave about.
