DANVILLE, Calif. - Californer -- Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley (Kiwanis SRV) will be celebrating its 50th year as organizer and host of the historic Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade, in partnership with the Town of Danville. The long-standing and hugely popular event, which is Kiwanis SRV's signature fundraiser, annually draws more than 125 parade entries and more than 40,000 spectators from local neighborhoods and regional communities.
"Sponsoring the parade is a great way to get in front of more than 40,000 pairs of eyes—in front of people who shop, dine, play, and support deserving causes in Danville and the San Ramon Valley," said David Stegman, the longtime Kiwanis SRV member who was instrumental in getting the club to take the reins of the then casual parade, which has grown to become a beloved tradition for the Town of Danville. "Sponsors get a good deal of positive publicity and visibility, while helping a lot of local nonprofits that do an extraordinary amount of good for our community."
Funds raised through parade sponsorships go toward the Kiwanis SRV Grants Program, which provides small grants to local nonprofits, oftentimes funding projects that would otherwise go unrealized. Since the 1990s, Kiwanis has awarded more than $1M in grants through the nonprofit San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation.

Alamo Ace Hardware is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2025 Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade, and has been for the past ten years. "We opened our first store in Alamo in 2009 and entered a float in the parade, which was a lot of fun and brought attention to our store and our community support for Kiwanis," said Chris Kretz, managing member of family-owned Alamo Ace Hardware. "When we were given the opportunity to be the Presenting Sponsor of the Kiwanis Danville Parade, I jumped on it. 100%! It's rewarding to be a part of such a wonderful local event, representing our community and our store at the same time."
Parade sponsors are showcased in promotional banners posted in town and published in advertisements weeks before the parade, as well as in parade signage, banners, and messaging during and after the parade. Sponsors are also invited to participate in the parade with a float or vehicle promoting their business or organization.
Sponsor applications will be accepted through Monday, June 2. For more information, visit https://www.srvkiwanis.org/parade or contact John Lineweaver, fundraising@SRVKiwanis.org.
