RIO VISTA, Calif. - Californer -- RIO VISTA, CA — The Art & Music Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit, and the City of Rio Vista are proud to announce the upcoming Main Street Concert Series, bringing free, high-quality live music to downtown residents and visitors. This year's theme is "Women Who Rock," featuring all-female fronted bands. The series runs from June 5 through October 9. The Main Street Concerts celebrate the heart of the Delta with performances that blend local talent and regional acts against the backdrop of the Sacramento River.
"Music has always been a part of our community's DNA," said Judy Gascoyne, also known as the performing artist "Groovy Judy," and the concert series producer at the Art & Music Center. "We wanted to make sure Rio Vista had accessible entertainment where families can gather safely. These concerts are not just about the music; they are about bringing neighbors and families together to enjoy our beautiful downtown while boosting local business by increasing foot traffic along Main Street. They are also funded by the community through donations and local sponsors.

The June through October schedule features a rotating roster of musical styles, including country, blues, jazz, and classic rock. The concert series is scheduled for select Friday evenings: June 5, July 10, August 7, September 4, and October 9.
Highlights for the upcoming season include:
● June 5, 2026, 7-9 pm, Kick-off featuring: Western Bound, Country, road-ready honky tonk music.
● July 10, 2026, 7-9 pm: Tressa Gaye & The Boneshakers: Eclectic mix of Rock, Country, Blues, & Latin.
● August 7, 2026, 7-9 pm: The Babybacks, Blues, Swing, Jazz, Pop, and Rock.
● September 4, 2026, 6-8 pm: Unlimited, 80's & 90's hits.
● October 9, 2026, 6-8 pm: Community Jam with Rio Vista's finest musicians!
Attendees are encouraged to visit the downtown area, browse the shops, and enjoy a bite at one of Main Street's many bars and restaurants. Bring your own chair and enjoy the show. Dancing is highly encouraged. Parking is available on Front Street or in the parking lot near City Hall. The location is fully accessible.
