ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Californer -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Emily McCorry has joined the Orange County office as an associate. McCorry is a part of the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. Her focus is on patent prosecution, representing clients in a wide array of technologies such as computer software and hardware, artificial intelligence, blockchain and smart contracts, unmanned vehicles, and big data analytics.
McCorry earned her computer science degree, cum laude, from Boston University. Prior to her law school journey, she worked as an SQL developer at a healthcare software company, where her efforts helped healthcare professionals effectively synthesize and analyze critical patient health metrics.
She received her J.D. and graduated, cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she contributed to the UCI Law Review and Moot Court. While at UC Irvine, McCorry took on the role of research assistant for a former United Nations Special Rapporteur, concentrating on international internet privacy rights and their legal frameworks. McCorry also has a keen passion for foreign languages and is fluent in both Portuguese and Italian.
