Lets congratulate So. Cal Cable Networks on completing their largest job to date!
SAN PEDRO, Calif. - Californer -- San Pedro, California - So. Cal. Cable Networks founder and CEO Robert Icedo is proud to announce that his company has completed it's largest combined network cabling and fiber optic cabling installation in Orange County, California.
So. Cal. Cable Networks worked at an unnamed national home-builder company in Irvine's technology park area and spent the last 3 months installing all manner of low voltage network cables, fiber optic cables, access control wiring as well as building up 4 separate data centers throughout the technology park area. All data centers were connected with underground fiber that the crew dug up and installed conduit to hold the delicate fibers. So. Cal. Cable Networks was able to perform this work because it holds a California C-7 license, and the city of Irvine required the license as well as a city of Irvine business license. City inspectors visited frequently and inspected their work with the same level of detail as other other trades. Says Mr. Icedo: 'The work was very challenging because all aspects of structured cabling (https://www.socalcablenetworks.com/network-cable-installation) came into play.'

There was a design element, as well as an implementation element that required many trades and skills to complete. The customer, a very large national home builder with many projects in the works was very pleased with the result. Some features of the new facilities: Mitel MiVoice Connect VOIP PBX system running over the newly installed CAT6 cabling. This was a legacy Shoretel system that was upgraded to Mitel software. The Mitel system includes desk phones, a Shoretel Mobility Router, Soft Phones, an several Shoregear switches. A CCTV system connected to a cloud based NVR via Qumulex's new QXControl System. A Brivo Access control system.
Mr. Icedo reported that working in the City of Irvine, a large master planned city in Southern California was quite challenging as well. He reports that there was lots of regulatory hurdles to overcome. The city required engineering drawings for all cabling, permits for all aspects of the installation. The city also required frequent inspections, and the inspector was often on site for other trades.
