SAN DIEGO - Californer -- The Thinning Veil is an Award Winning Finalist in the International Book Awards
The Small Dark Room of the Soul and Other Stories was published in 1994, followed by A Short Walk to the Other Side in 2014. This third short story collection from author Matthew J. Pallamary follows the same train of thought as his previous collections.
In this case it doesn't matter if the demons are locked in a small dark room, or just a short walk away, because the veil between the worlds is thinning and the boundaries have become blurred, bringing more weight to the question; what or where are the boundaries between what we believe to be real and what we imagine?
These thirteen twisted tales cross the genres of science fiction and horror with a dash of spirituality, and explore strange happenings with homeless people, science and technology gone awry, and some dark supernatural tales with gothic underpinnings. The Thinning Veil: 13 Twisted Tales is available in print, as an ebook, and as an audiobook.

Multiple award winning author Matthew (Mateo) J. Pallamary's historical novel, Land Without Evil, received rave reviews along with a San Diego Book Award and was adapted into a magical stage and sky show, which was the subject of an EMMY nominated episode of a PBS series, "Arts in Context." His memoir, Spirit Matters, detailing his shamanic adventures took first place in the San Diego Book Awards Spiritual Book Category.
A popular returning guest on the Coast to Coast radio show and numerous other podcasts, radio, and television shows, Matt frequently visits the jungles, mountains, and deserts of North, Central, and South America pursuing his studies of shamanism and ancient cultures.
