Author shares how the magnetic stage energy of Stray Kids' Felix added nuance to her fae prince Callen Blackthorne, a character already built to captivate romantasy fans.
RICHMOND, Va. - Californer -- USA Today bestselling author Tina Glasneck is set to captivate romantasy readers with her forthcoming release, A Dragon's Queen, the first book in The Dragon Queen Trilogy. A sweeping romantasy of dragons, danger, and desire, A Dragon's Queen follows Jasmine as she is thrust into the perilous intrigues of the Unseelie Court. She must prove her worth in brutal magical trials—all while resisting her dangerous attraction to Callen Blackthorne, the fae prince whose shadowed past could either save her or destroy everything she loves.
Glasneck reveals that Callen's piercing, ethereal presence was enhanced by the magnetic stage energy Felix brings to performances like "Maniac."

"I was introduced to K-pop through a friend, and soon found myself with Stray Kids on repeat while writing," Glasneck shares. "There's even a phrase on TikTok—the 'Felix Effect'—that perfectly captures the charisma I wanted for Callen. Art inspires art, and writers are no different. I had already built Callen. However, watching Felix perform sparked new layers of nuance and presence that I was able to season into the character. I am so proud of this three-dimensional fae prince who remains entirely his own."
Blending lush worldbuilding, political intrigue, and slow-burn romance, A Dragon's Queen will appeal to fans of Fourth Wing and A Court of Thorns and Roses. With dragons bound by ancient magic and a heroine navigating deadly trials in the Unseelie Court, the novel delivers danger, desire, and mythic stakes in equal measure.
About A Dragon's Queen
