SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that San Diego attorneys Monique Lashbrook and Rosalyn Sutton have been appointed to the Burnham-Moores Center Real Estate Committee at University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business. This committee is a collaboration between Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate and real estate professionals from the various disciplines of real estate. It aims to focus on improving curriculum development, programming and conferences, applied research projects and industry relationships, so leading-edge real estate education can be provided to the University of San Diego community and beyond.
Lashbrook is a real estate partner of the San Diego office who focuses her practice on real estate, corporate and commercial finance-related matters and transactions. She has extensive experience handling real estate acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, commercial mortgage financing, commercial leasing for industrial and retail spaces, and property management matters. She is an active member of the Chicano Federation, serving on the Board of Directors as the Secretary and serving on the Executive Committee. Lashbrook is also a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association and CREW San Diego. She received her J.D. from University of Illinois, College of Law, her M.B.A. from Saint Ambrose University, and her B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles. Sutton is a real estate attorney of the San Diego office. Her practice is focused on representing developers, private equity funds and financial institutions on both the equity and debt sides of real estate transactions. Sutton has experience advising clients on matters involving the acquisition, sale, development, financing and construction of large commercial properties and projects. She also has extensive experience advising financial institutions, as well as non-bank lenders on the origination and restructuring of commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine loans.
