HemoStat Laboratories Inc. is a trusted source of quality animal blood products used to manufacture invitro diagnostic products like culture media, among others. They have over 40 years of experience supplying industry leading medical technology companies, laboratories and universities.
DIXON, Calif. - Californer -- Hemostat Laboratories offers aseptic animal blood products which are collected from healthy animals of US origin. Their products include defibrinated blood, serum/plasma, whole blood in anticoagulant, washed red cells and laked blood.
HemoStat has several walk-in cold storage rooms where blood is processed and stored. In order to comply with ISO 13485 requirements a system that monitors and graphs temperature data, as well as alerts when out of range, is required. HemoStat selected AKCP's Wireless Tunnel™ sensor solution to fulfill this need.

Initially HemoStat installed the AKCP 2nd Generation Wireless Tunnel™ temperature sensors in several locations, which were in operation for several years. The radio enclosure is mounted outside the cold storage rooms, with the sensor element running through the wall into the cold room. They were so pleased with the operation that they have recently upgraded the system to the 3rd generation Wireless Tunnel™ system, installing sensorProbeWT wireless sensor (https://www.akcp.com/akcp-products/sensorprobe-...) modules and a sensorProbeWTS (https://www.akcp.com/akcp-products/wireless-mon...) to collect data, graph and alert.
The sensorProbeWT devices have an extended battery life of up to 10 years, making them ideal for installations where power is not available. Built on LoRa radio technology, but implemented with AKCP's proprietary Wireless Tunnel™ protocol, it provides a robust, reliable, low power system that can easily be expanded. Due to the long range capabilities of LoRa radio, additional sensors can be installed around the facilities without the need for adding many more access points.
