LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Hollywood has been warning the world about the threat of nuclear war and the danger of nuclear power for decades, from "On the Beach" to "Dr. Strangelove" and "The China Syndrome".Those concerns and important issues are explored by the Atomic Age Cinema Fest, set for December 2024 for the second time in Hollywood at the Crescent Theater co-presented by "Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World" and the "International Uranium Film Festival" (IUFF). The festival's mission is to showcase exceptional films on all nuclear topics and to celebrate creative, courageous filmmakers, producers and activists who have taken on this difficult issue that is vital to the survival of humanity.
During two days, December 7th and 8th, the Atomic Age Cinema Fest will show a selection of awarded films presented by their directors or producers followed by a nuclear power panel with stars and special guests like in 2016 when the Atomic Age Cinema Fest was held for the first time in Hollywood.

We dedicate the opening film "On The Beach" to Alan Harkness, the last surviving crew member of "On The Beach" who has passed away on August 11.
At the 2nd Atomic Age Cinema Fest Hollywood 2024, the guest list will consist of renowned actorvists, student filmmakers and creatives with a passion for storytelling about environmental advocacy and foremost saving our planet. The idea of our human survival and to educate future generations that we could "blow ourselves up" is still the most serious issue of our time.
In 2016 at Raleigh Studios, the panels with stars such as Esai Morales, Mimi Kennedy, Kat Kramer, Lou Gossett Jr, Ed Asner and Harvey Wasserman fascinated the audience. "The festival in Hollywood was – you should pardon the expression – a blast! Wonderful people came to watch the films and were blown away by what they viewed," said Libbe HaLevy, panelist and producer of Nuclear Hotseat, the weekly international news magazine on all things nuclear. And Elena Nicklasson from the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation added: "I Loved this event! Great to see so many Hollywood stars supporting nuclear disarmament! The red carpet was amazing."
