LOS ANGELES - Californer -- I'm Saving Myself, a nonprofit organization and Thread of Hope Records are proud to announce "Believe, Don't Give Up Rhythm & Resource Fair", taking place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at People's Street, 3341 West 43rd Place, Leimert Park Village.
This event brings into focus Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. This groundbreaking community event brings together entertainment, resources, and open dialogue to combat the rising tide of suicide, especially among children and across generations.
Hosted by acclaimed Actress and Comedian Roxanne Reese, the event will feature a stellar lineup of performers. In a powerful and healing moment, attendees who have contemplated or attempted suicide will also be invited to courageously share their journeys on stage.
"Suicide is rising amongst children and plagues far too many generationally," said Bonita Mitchell, founder of I'm Saving Myself, Gospel singer, former celebrity stylist for Stevie Wonder, and First Lady. "No one battling such pressures—or who knows someone that is—should ever feel alone. This event is about hope, healing, and connecting people to real resources. On hand will be the creation of an environment filled with love, inspiration, dreams, and resources from mental health as well as support groups for attendees!"
