"Successful lobbyists do their most important work far ahead of time. They need to adapt quickly to last-minute developments, but a deep understanding of and preparation for the process is needed to deal with the unexpected. That's why we put so much emphasis on the fundamentals: preparation, relationships, diagnosis, analysis, process, best practices, and more. We cover all the bases so that our attendees are prepared for the work ahead."
"Whatever one's academic background and regardless of whether they are a novice, a veteran, or in between, our specialized training is the best preparation for this very challenging profession," adds LeBov.
Presented by Ray LeBov, the Lobbying 101 course provides an in-depth introduction to the California legislative process and best practices for effective advocacy. Ray delivers a seminar that is filled with an insider's knowledge.. The Budget and Regulatory sessions are presented by guest faculty Chris Micheli & Diane Cummins, experts in their respective areas.
Capitol Seminars also offers custom sessions for organizations interested in a convenient, cost-effective means of training for larger groups. These sessions can be designed to assist the participants in creating strategies to deal with specific issues facing their organization.
