Project Glimmer Reaches Over 135,000 Girls Across the Bay Area with Confidence-Building Programs

SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Today, National Nonprofit Day Project Glimmer is calling on individuals and companies to take action and help ignite the potential of girls in their communities.Founded by San Francisco venture capitalist Sonja Perkins, Project Glimmer is a national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring every girl to envision and realize her empowered future.

"Project Glimmer has also been a big part of my life since I joined the program almost a year and a half ago, as it has not only allowed me to realize what I want to pursue as a career but has also given me opportunities that have led me to secure internships for companies in the Bay. Each chapter has contributed to my growth and influenced the person I am at this moment, and I continue to grow through Project Glimmer." - Danna Rengifo, 17

Programs That Inspire and Empower

  • Career Coaching: Personalized one-on-one support for resume building, interview prep, and job-readiness.
  • Empowerment Academy: A free virtual leadership series for high school girls focused on confidence, career exploration, and self-worth.
