Every eRacks server already ships with the open-source AI stack pre-installed free. The new service closes the last gap: models selected for the customer's field, tuned to their hardware, air-gapped, and handed off live to their team.

CAMPBELL, Calif. - Californer -- eRacks Open Source Systems, a builder of open-source rackmount servers since 1999, today launched AI Provisioning and Setup, a $1,795 flat-fee service that takes a private AI server from powered-on to production-ready. The service is available on any eRacks system, and remotely on capable hardware a customer already owns.

Every eRacks AI server has long shipped with the open-source AI stack pre-installed at no charge: Ollama (the model runner), Open WebUI (the familiar chat interface), vLLM (high-throughput serving), llama.cpp, and PyTorch, installed, updated, and tested before the system leaves the shop. The new paid service covers everything between a working stack and a working deployment.

The provisioning package selects and installs open models suited to the customer's field, legal, healthcare, engineering, or support, drawn from the current best of DeepSeek, Llama, Qwen, and Mistral. Models are quantized (compressed to fit more capability into the available GPU memory) and verified against the customer's actual hardware rather than a spec sheet. Serving is tuned for real throughput, with benchmark numbers recorded and handed to the customer. Network configuration is air-gapped or egress-controlled, so prompts and data never leave the building. A starter retrieval-augmented generation setup (RAG, which lets the model answer from the customer's own documents) is wired into the chat interface. The engagement closes with a live two-hour handoff session, written configuration records, and 30 days of follow-up questions included.

"The gap in private AI is not the hardware anymore," said Joseph Wolff, Founder and CTO of eRacks Systems. "A capable server with the stack pre-installed still is not a deployment. Which model, at which quantization, serving how many people, with the network sealed: that is the work. Now it ships as a flat-fee service with no retainer and no lock-in."

The service complements the eRacks private AI server ladder, which runs from the AILSA 2U at $5,995 through the AISLING 4U at $16,995, the newly revived original AINSLEY 4-GPU at $21,995 (the company's first AI model, returned on the current Threadripper platform), and the redundant-power AILEEN 4U at $21,995, to enterprise systems supporting up to 10 GPUs. Every configured price on eracks.com is a real, orderable number.
