LOS ANGELES - Californer -- March brings the six-year anniversary of iLL Camille's classic LP Heirloom, her most personal and introspective work to date. Originally released in March 2017, the project features appearances from Camp Lo, SiR, Javonte, Iman Omari, George Anne Muldrow, Damani Nkosi, Rose Gold, TDE's Punch, and more. In celebration of this milestone and of her sold-out NFT "Twende," released with Web3- powerhouse Sound.xyz in January, iLL Camille steps into part two of her "3Peace" NFT EP project with "Raise Ya Glass".
Starting her 2023 with a Grammy nomination for her work with fellow L.A. musicians, Moonchild, on their Starfruit LP, your "rapper's-favorite-rapper" has enjoyed being in a constant state of musical discovery.

iLL Camille's trifecta with collaborators Ginger Nkosi (Hugh Masekela) and Bridget Perez (Denzel Curry, Flatbush Zombies) set a celebratory tone for "Raise Ya Glass," which is scheduled to drop on Sound.xyz, Friday, March 17th as a Digi-Heirloom. The artist's describes the expression behind her NFT releases as, "valuable web3 music assets that can belong to a collector for generations to come, like grandma's vinyl or grandpa's camera collection."
Keeping the low-end but spirits high, iLL Camille keeps it potent with lyrics like:
"On your Marathon steez / Even when it wasn't sweet / But you make it look easy ... Cheers!"
In what she calls "An ode to self-growth," the newly-nominated MC provided a short origin story behind "Raise Ya Glass," detailing what inspired the concept:
"It's been a tradition for us, me and my family... my relatives... to take at least one day out of the week and just let it all loose. The pain, the joy...we two-stepped it out. That's how we do!"
