iPOP! alum Olivia Holt returns to Series 'Cruel Summer' Season 3

LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Five years ago, Olivia Holt (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3127051/) signed on to star in the Freefrom thriller series Cruel Summer (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11083696/), which was being executive produced by Jessica Biel (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004754/). When the show premiered in 2021, it quickly became the most-watched show in Freeform (https://www.imdb.com/company/co0571670/) history. It was renewed for a second season that took the anthology route with a different story, cast, and showrunner – and that season didn't go over as well as its predecessor, so the show was cancelled in 2023. Now, Variety reports that Cruel Summer (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11083696/) is coming back! Season 3 is now in development at Hulu (https://www.imdb.com/company/co0218858/) and Freeform, with Holt on board to reprise the role of Kate Wallis (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7448534/) from the first season.
