More on The Californer
With the goal to close the vaccine equity gap, particularly in the areas of East San José where residents have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, this clinic bridges technology and transportation challenges by removing appointment requirements and offering evening hours. To further address technology barriers, staff and volunteers canvassed the neighborhood to make sure community members are aware of the clinic. The Children of the Rainbow Park event is one in a series of vaccine events aimed at addressing obstacles to getting the vaccine to impacted communities.
