VISTA, Calif. - Californer -- Machine Vision Products (MVP), a global provider of automated optical inspection technologies, will showcase its expanding semiconductor and microelectronics inspection portfolio at SEMICON West 2026, October 13–15, Booth 6279, highlighting scalable AOI, advanced metrology, AI-enabled inspection and an increasingly connected approach to factory integration.
At the heart of MVP's technology strategy is standardization without application compromise. From wafer and die inspection through wire bond, leadframe, advanced packaging and electronics assembly, MVP platforms share a common software, algorithm and technology foundation while allowing inspection resolution, optics and platform configuration to scale to the demands of each application.
This common architecture also provides the foundation for MVP's expanding AI inspection capabilities. By combining proven rules-based AOI with AI-assisted inspection and review technologies, MVP is developing an open and flexible approach in which AI complements established inspection techniques rather than replacing them. Centralized AI resources can support multiple inspection platforms, providing a scalable path for manufacturers to introduce AI across different processes and applications.
More on The Californer
MVP continues to expand its optical capabilities, including evolving microscope-level inspection technologies, enabling increasingly demanding inspection and metrology applications while maintaining the throughput required for high-volume production. The objective is straightforward: greater inspection capability and resolution without sacrificing production speed.
These technologies come together within the MVP Integrated Environment — an inspection strategy spanning Front-End Semiconductor, Back-End & Microelectronics, and SMT manufacturing. Common software, algorithms and inspection technologies allow manufacturers to deploy different MVP platforms while maintaining a consistent operating and integration environment across the factory.
The Integrated Environment extends beyond inspection itself. SECS/GEM connectivity, centralized review, process control, inspection data management, AGV and automated material-handling integration, and broader factory connectivity enable MVP inspection platforms to become part of the connected manufacturing environment rather than operate as isolated systems.
"Our focus is on giving manufacturers the ability to scale inspection technology to the application without losing the benefits of standardization," said Dr. George T. Ayoub, CEO of Machine Vision Products. "Whether that means higher-resolution optics, advanced metrology, AI-assisted inspection or deeper factory integration, the underlying environment remains consistent. Manufacturers should not have to choose between inspection capability, integration and production speed."

MVP will also highlight the continued diversification of its inspection portfolio as the company expands its technologies and platforms to address new applications across semiconductor and microelectronics manufacturing.
Dr. George T. Ayoub and Paul Groome will be available at Booth 6279 throughout SEMICON West to meet with customers and discuss current and future inspection and metrology requirements, including the expanding role of AI in defect detection, inspection optimization, data analysis, and factory-wide integration.
