CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Californer -- Carpinteria's only senior living and memory care community, GranVida, can rest easier, as almost all of their staff and residents received their final vaccinations.
Management has expressed deep gratitude to the residents for adhering to vaccination schedules, and for staff and residents' immediate cooperation with COVID-19 protocols.
"We feel humbled and grateful to our frontline workers who have brought a combination of humor and relief during their rapid response to vaccination distributions at GranVida," said Claudette Geller, Marketing Director at GranVida. "The process has been smooth and efficient from the first vaccination to the last, with many residents feeling 'untouchable' and eager to get back into the swing of things with their new sense of safety and wellbeing."
In addition to the vaccine, staff are continually tested while staying in regular contact with the Santa Barbara County Health Department and CDC for the most up to date safety protocols.
Like many senior living and nursing care communities in the United States, GranVida has been on the front lines in battling the COVID-19 virus. Administering the last dose of the vaccine this week is a positive step forward for both staff and residents.
