Voice Over Talent to Help Nonprofit Organizations by Donating Their Unique Skill
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- A new volunteer platform for voice talent and nonprofit organizations launched earlier this year and is ready to help nonprofits by voice talent volunteers who will create and send voice overs from their recording studios for any special project. The service is free to nonprofit organizations.
Volunteer Voice Over is a new kind of platform connecting rising voice over talent with nonprofits in need of narration or voice recordings. Rising and professional voice talent offer their recording skills for free, allowing nonprofits to access real human voice overs for projects such as PSA's, fundraising videos, social media campaigns, tutorials, and other projects. The platform empowers nonprofits to allocate their budgets to other essential needs while connecting with voice talent.
Nonprofit organizations visit the platform, create a profile, choose a volunteer voice over talent via their talent profile, and send a private message requesting help. If both parties agree, they collaborate, and the nonprofit receives a free human voice over recording for their project.

Voice talent members pay a nominal membership fee which helps to offset the platform costs. Voice talent can upload audio demos, video demos, and photos, write a description of their work, add their personal website, and collaborate with nonprofit professionals on the platform.
Voice talent understands the social value of contributing to nonprofits while also building meaningful industry relationships. Many voice talents are second-career professionals and understand the importance of giving back.
"Most of my career was in nonprofit services in San Diego, so I understand the need. Several years ago, I reached out to nonprofit organizations to volunteer my skills as a voice actor but I soon realized there were no safe and controlled platforms available to help voice talent volunteer their time and unique skills. The platform also gives a safe space for a rising voice talent to meet industry professionals while developing their skills and talent," explains Melissa Harlow, founder of Volunteer Voice Over, "I would have loved this type of support and connection when I started as a new voice talent! And with the rise of synthetic and fake voices, a human voice becomes even more important to nonprofits."

The community can help by sharing the website on social media, especially on LinkedIn, and by spreading the word to nonprofit organizations, schools, friends, and family. Word of mouth is crucial for Volunteer Voice Over to reach more nonprofits and volunteers. The platform is accepting new talent and nonprofit organizations.
