SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Travel Visa Pro (TVP), a leader in U.S. passport and international travel visa services, is donating to help save the environment. For every passport or travel visa order at https://www.travelvisapro.com, TVP will help plant a tree.
As part of national and international security measures, U.S. passport and visa applications often require the printing of serval pages of paper forms to be submitted with the applicant's original signature. In most cases, these documents must be shipped to specific cities, based on government agency locations, for official processing. Once the passport or visa is issued, it is then retrieved by TVP and shipped back to the traveler.
To help offset the deforestation caused by paper usage, and to offset the carbon footprint generated by shipping, TVP has partnered with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, global tree planting organization based in Vermont, to help plant a tree for every order!

Mark Harris, CEO of Travel Visa Pro, stated, "Originally the idea of planting a tree didn't seem like it was going to make an impact, but then I ran the numbers and realized the potential".
One passport or visa order requires approximately 8 sheets of paper. One tree can produce 8,333 sheets of paper.
One round trip shipment generates approximately 5 pounds of C02. One tree can absorb as much as 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.
That means that just by working with TVP, travelers are also helping to reforest the planet and save the environment.
Matt Hill, One Tree Planted's Founder, stated, "We are proud to work with businesses like Travel Visa Pro focused on sustainability and making a positive impact for forests. The trees we plant today will benefit nature, people, and biodiversity for many years to come."
