~ The City of San José is looking for civic-minded individuals to join their boards and commissions. There are currently openings on the Airport Commission, Appeals Hearing Board, Arts Commission, Clean Energy Community Advisory Commission, Council Appointment Advisory Commission, Housing and Community Development Commission, Library and Early Education Commission, Measure T Community Oversight Committee, Parks and Recreation Commission, Salary Setting Commission, Senior Commission and Youth Commission.
Applicants must live in the City of San José and commit to being active in the community. Further qualifications may be required to serve on certain boards or commissions. Applications must be submitted by April 16th at 5 p.m. and will be reviewed by the City Attorney's Office for a Conflict of Interest Report before being sent to the Council Offices for review and nomination. The nominations will then go to the City Council on June 13th.
