Local Authors & Actors Perform from New Books! Fun, Food & Favorites
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Californer -- Four favorite Central Coast authors will collaborate to bring "Book Performances" to Morro Bay. The event will be held at a favorite location too—Coalesce Bookstore. The popular authors have also invited two favorite actors to help perform scenes from their most recent releases. And to add to the fun, they're even providing some food treats.
Featured authors are Mara Purl, Anne R. Allen, Tony Piazza, and Lida Sideris. Why a group event?
Best-selling, award-winning author Mara Purl's new release debuts this month. Why Hearts Keep Secrets, already has excellent advance reviews. "Secrets can be delicious, but also dangerous," Purl remarked. "It was time to delve and reveal."
Mara Purl is the author of the Milford-Haven Novels, based on her original radio drama Milford-Haven, which first aired in Cambria and SLO before becoming a hit on BBC radio drama with 4.5 million listeners in the U.K. Mara began began hitting bestseller lists with her novels and novellas, of which the new book is the eleventh. Her novels have won more than sixty awards.

Los Osos author Anne R. Allen is a popular blogger and the author of the hilarious Camilla Randall Mysteries as well as 3 other novels and the anthology Why Grandma Bought that Car. Her nonfiction book, The Author Blog: Easy Blogging for Busy Authors, is an Amazon #1 bestseller. She's also the co-author, with Catherine Ryan Hyde, of the writer's guide How to Be a Writer in the E-Age. She blogs with New York Times million-copy seller, Ruth Harris, at Anne R. Tony Piazza is a mystery writer, film historian, presenter, and skilled storyteller well-known for his passion for writing and movies. An author of six mystery novels (three of which have won awards), one adventure novel, and a memoir about the making of the Steve McQueen movie, "Bullitt," and his family's involvement in it. Piazza regularly worked on many Hollywood movies and television shows during the 1970s, including "Magnum Force," "Towering Inferno," and "The Streets of San Francisco."
