LOS ANGELES - Californer -- The Reckless Return With New Single 'Darling Please'
LOS ANGELES (July 23, 2025) — Independent rock outfit The Reckless have announced the release of their latest single, "Darling Please," a track that continues the band's emotionally driven and guitar-forward sound. The single became available on streaming platforms this week and marks the group's first release since early 2025.
The Reckless — comprising Fritz Fayman (guitar, lead vocals), Riku Myllykoski (drums), John Kelly (guitar), and Michael Kennedy (bass, backing vocals) — recorded the song with production helmed by Fayman and Myllykoski. Cottee Embry handled mixing and mastering.
The track, written collectively by the band, reflects their collaborative approach to composition — a process the members describe as "conversational" in both lyric and arrangement. While "Darling Please" is a re-release of an older song, the updated version features tighter mixing, new parts, and a more representative sound of The Reckless's growth and evolution as a band.

While The Reckless have remained relatively quiet on their upcoming plans, the band confirms they are currently working on a full-length album slated for release in early 2026, with multiple singles and continued live performances expected in the lead-up.
A music video for "Darling Please" is scheduled for release on Sunday, July 27. According to the band, the video will expand on the song's themes with a visual narrative that leans on analog textures and "intentional disorientation."
Though known primarily for their live performances across regional circuits in the U.S. and Europe, The Reckless have gained a following for their carefully crafted studio recordings that blend post-punk urgency with melodic restraint. The group last released new material in January 2025 with their EP "Who Are You."
No additional details have been confirmed regarding touring or a full-length release, though representatives for the band say more announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
