The shop's launch marks a significant step in building a sense of community and recognition for Uhland, which has long been overshadowed by its neighbors, such as Lockhart, Buda, and New Braunfels. "Uhland has a rich history, from the Turkey Foot Cattle Company of the 1840s to the Uhland Mercantile Company that served the town for many years. Merrill, a member of the Uhland community since 2018, has deep ties to the town as both a business owner and a public servant, having served on the City Council and the Economic Development Corporation.
