"It was mostly off the purpose for me to still have freedom and control when I wanna drop and how much I wanna drop and I think as an artist, an underground artist that's coming up, a lot of artists [mess] themselves over by signing majors too fast and not having the freedom to be able to put out as much music before someone can actually to like your catalog," said Zoe Osama on the Effective Immediately Podcast.

These are groundbreaking times for Zoe Osama and Empire Records and this proves again, that Zoe is an independent artist following in the footsteps of Nipsey Hussle by establishing Tha New Cartel, the record label and solidifying its place in hip hop history.

"Stomp" is a single off his new album, "From The Eastcide With Love", dropping June 28 on all streaming platforms.
