SAN DIEGO - Californer -- San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter is excited to announce the appointment of Chef Jeff Slotterback as its new Executive Chef. With more than 15 years of culinary experience and over five years in executive leadership roles, Chef Slotterback brings a dynamic blend of creativity, global influence, and operational expertise to the hotel's vibrant food and beverage program.

A graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, Chef Slotterback has cultivated a well-rounded career, from line cook to Executive Chef, across diverse hospitality environments. He played a key role on the opening team at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, where he helped develop menus and oversee large-scale kitchen operations. His time studying in Italy further shaped his approach to menu creation, blending traditional techniques with bold, globally inspired flavors.

In his new role, Chef Slotterback will lead the culinary direction for all dining outlets at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, including Soleil @K, the hotel's breakfast venue offering fresh starts with locally inspired favorites; Latitude Lounge, a relaxed lobby bar featuring craft cocktails and casual bites; and ALTITUDE Sky Lounge, the hotel's iconic rooftop destination known for small plates, signature drinks, and panoramic views of Petco Park and the San Diego skyline. He will also oversee in-room dining and catering services for meetings, weddings, and private events.
