The flagship VA41630 from VORAGO Technologies has completed space-grade qualification to the requirements of MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, and is among an entire family of fully integrated, qualified and available radiation-hardened SoC products.
AUSTIN, Texas - Californer -- VORAGO Technologies today announced its Arm® Cortex-M4 VA41630 has completed the industry's highest level of spaceflight qualification to the requirements of MIL-PRF-38534 and is currently shipping at volume. This qualification validates the quality and reliability of the VA41630 MCU for critical space applications. VORAGO has completed the qualification to the requirements of MIL-PRF-38534 including RHA testing.
"This is a significant and noteworthy achievement for VORAGO," said Bernd Lienhard, CEO of VORAGO Technologies. "Passing the highest level of qualification in the industry gives our customers peace of mind that our technology is purpose-built for the most important critical missions. We are the only small technology company that has successfully achieved this qualification milestone."
About the VA41630 This highly integrated, innovative and space-saving semiconductor technology shortens the design process, improves reliability, and reduces footprint for the design of mission critical systems. The VA41630 offers unmatched solutions for designs that require high-performance processing paired with an unprecedented set of highly integrated peripherals. Part of a broader family of Arm® Cortex microcontrollers suitable for aerospace and defense applications, the VA41630 offers an integrated 256KB Non-Volatile Memory along with an FPU up to 100MHz, integrated multichannel ADC and DAC, and a broad range of communication interfaces (I2C, UART, CAN, SPI, Ethernet, Spacewire). The VA41630 is manufactured with HARDSIL® Technology, delivering superior radiation hardened performance with a TID of up to 200 krad (Si) and latch-up immunity.

VORAGO Technologies' entire Arm® Cortex-M4 family of integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) products, including the VA41620, VA41630, and the upcoming VA41628 and VA41629, is qualified for full spaceflight, making VORAGO the only company to achieve full spaceflight qualification on the Arm® Cortex-M4 family of products.
Lienhard continued, "Our goal has always been to provide our customers with flexible solutions. With our Arm® Cortex-M4 family of products, VORAGO has brought to market a complete stack of products from entry level to the highest level of qualification. Now our customers can start designing at the entry level and move up the stack with minimal re-work required. It's a transformational product approach in this industry."
