October issue: Breast Cancer Awareness Month + Joel Rodriguez Tirado on why financial preparedness is an act of love and how legacy begins with a decision today.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Californer -- Impact & Influence Magazine has released its October 2025 issue, honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a powerful reflection on legacy, loss, and protecting what matters most.
This month, the magazine spotlights resilience, preparation, and lasting impact. The issue features stories of survival, tributes to those lost, and practical guidance on building financial security.
At the heart of this edition lies a deeply personal contribution from writer Joel Rodriguez Tirado, titled "Legacy in the Face of Loss — October's Reminder to Protect What Matters Most."
Joel Rodriguez Tirado shares this year has been both a blessing and a breaking point—filled with growth yet marked by loss. He lost a dear friend at 39, followed by his father on June 27th, 2025, months before his mother's two-year passing anniversary. Neither parent had financial protection, forcing his family to face financial burdens on top of grief.

October brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time that feels personal. Cancer touched his life profoundly: his wife, a survivor who beat cancer, and his father, who was taken by it. Two endings—yet both remind him of preparation, love, and legacy.
"We avoid conversations about illness, death, and financial preparedness," writes Joel Rodriguez Tirado. "But cancer doesn't send invitations. It arrives unexpectedly, disrupting plans and futures."
Joel Rodriguez Tirado emphasizes financial services are about people, families, and futures. His mission is to educate families on being financially secure—helping them secure life insurance, plan for retirement, become debt-free, and build entrepreneurial opportunities.
"Every October, pink ribbons remind us of the fight against breast cancer," says Joel Rodriguez Tirado. "Awareness is vital—but action is everything. The question is: 'If your loved one were gone tomorrow, what would happen?' It's meant to spark urgency."
